Are you still looking for that last minute gift to get someone that has it all? I have yet to find a person that an Air Fryer isn’t the perfect git for (okay, I guess if I really thought about it I could find a few). Anyways, this is the best no-brainer gift to get that couple you’ve never really pinned down, to bring to a white elephant gift exchange (depending on the agreed-upon limit), or for any other friends and family you have yet to cross off your list.
Sugar cookies are always a fun holiday treat. They are simple, fun to decorate, and an activity you can get the whole family in on. There aren’t many gluten-free (GF) sugar cookie options out there. I scoured the internet and looked for weeks at local stores and all I scrounged up were three options. However, after some digging, it looks like these are the only ones that are readily available year round. So which cookies are worth the buy and which should never make it into the cart?
It’s time for another installment! I hope you are as excited about this as I am because I love doing this series. Now, I thought this would be perfect for Thanksgiving because at least for us, were the only gluten-free (GF) ones in the family, so having easy substitutes for the host to make (or for me to bring over) makes Thanksgiving that much easier. I finally got all the ones I could find (even after searching on google). However, since there are so few options I will also include an easy recipe to make any homemade gravy GF and you can’t even tell it’s GF!
The Gluten-Free (GF) Skeptic was originally created to share and test GF recipes and to try GF foods from grocery stores, restaurants, and major brands to report back to you guys what’s worth trying and what’s literal overpriced GF trash. I kept eyeing these mixes everytime we went to Walmart (which has the most GF options in our area surprisingly) and I finally realized no one was gonna review them for me and I need to just do it. Also, this is the cheapest GF Skeptic that has ever skeptic-ed. So here is a detailed review of the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Great Value line of GF mixes.
I’ve been seeing these mixes float around a lot lately, and finally decided to pick them up to give them a taste for myself. I figured I would make this a Gluten-Free (GF) Skeptic review so I could share it with all my fellow GF readers! So if you too have been seeing these everywhere and are on the fence about buying them or unsure if you’ll like it, here is an in-depth review!
I have never tried a premade gluten-free (GF) mix before this. I see them everywhere and I feel like every day a new one enters the battlefield that is GF. While on a recent trip to the grocery store I found an overwhelming amount of brownie mixes. There were six all in one store. It got me thinking, with all the choices and the huge range in price, how can anyone pick just one? Well, that’s what I’m here for! I tried, described, and ranked eight of the most popular GF brownie mixes.
Stop waiting for the next film to come to Redbox or DVD and try something new (or would it be old?). Just because a film is older doesn’t mean its story lost value. If you are new here, these posts are about movies that maybe you missed when they came out and never got around to watching them, weren’t allowed to watch them growing up, or never even heard of them. These are five films from the 2000’s or earlier that I love and encourage you to give a try (I promise you’ll love at least something on this list).
Hello, Lovelies! I hope you are all doing wonderfully. I have a brand new series starting today (this post is it)! This little series will be dedicated to trying new food, exploring cultures, and inviting you to do the same. Life is too short to not explore the world around us. This little series will be about just that — exploring new foods. I strongly believe that trying food is a great way to “travel” without all the expense and time. I mean, think about it, besides shopping and sightseeing why do we travel? FOR FOOD!! So go out into your town and see what there is around you, you don’t have to travel to be connected to the world around you, you just need an open mind and a willingness to try! If you need some ideas on great food to look for or maybe you are like me and need a nudge to try new things, well… that’s what I’m here for! Every second and fourth Monday of each month will be dedicated to exploring a new food and reporting back to you. Let’s get started!
It’s already been a month since my last movies post, can you believe it?! These are by far my favorite to write, and I’m so glad it is time for another installment. If you are new here, this little series on the blog is dedicated to sharing movies from the past. Maybe you have seen them, maybe you haven’t. Either way, these are great movies you may have missed, may not have even been alive for their release, or maybe you have long forgotten about them (and should totally give them a rewatch in that case).
For all those movies you weren’t allowed to watch as a kid or for those movie references you don’t always get but want to, this is the list for you. This monthly installment gives you five movies from the 80’s to the 2000’s that you may have never heard of or just let slip through the cracks of your ‘to watch’ list. Get some popcorn and let’s get started!
Derek lived an apparently sheltered childhood and hasn’t seen really any movies outside of Marvel and the action genre. So a lot of jokes or references I made went over his head and apparently I am crazy enough that he just thought I was saying gibberish, being my normal self and just went along with it.
