Halloween is gonna be here before you know it and in my expert opinion, it’s time to bust out the horror films and get the house decorated. I was looking through lists like “The Top 100 Halloween Movies” or “The Best Halloween Movies of All Time” and I feel like there were a lot of my favorites missing. So here is a list of Halloween movies that are considered classics and a must watch for my family and me.

Stop waiting for the next film to come to Redbox or DVD and try something new (or would it be old?). Just because a film is older doesn’t mean its story lost value. It’s already been a month since my last movies post, can you believe it?! These are by far my favorite to write, and I’m so glad it is time for another installment. If you are new here, this little series on the blog is dedicated to sharing movies from the past. Maybe you have seen them, maybe you haven’t. Either way, these are great movies you may have missed, may not have even been alive for their release, or maybe you have long forgotten about them (and should totally give them a rewatch in that case).
For all those movies you weren’t allowed to watch as a kid or for those movie references you don’t always get but want to, this is the list for you. This monthly installment gives you five movies from the 80’s to the 2000’s that you may have never heard of or just let slip through the cracks of your ‘to watch’ list.
