Oh, holy cow you guys. I think I might be allergic to dairy (cue sarcastic half-hearted woo’s). I currently am working on eating dairy-free and egg-free (already an allergen I just didn’t take it as seriously as I should’ve) for the next four weeks to test the waters, and we’ve been gluten-free for a couple years now. Alright, I know it sounds weird but hear me out: this dessert is like a milkshake meets pudding meets the desire for something warm. It is basically a thin warm pudding made up to act and drink like a milkshake. It is ah-mazing. It has the thickness of a milkshake (and you could add all the same toppings and flavors to it as well), but it’s warm and creamy like a pudding. At first, when I came up with this idea, Derek thought I was being crazy again (like the time I tried to convince him we should melt gummy bears and chocolate together to make caramel), but after trying it, he’s hooked. This is the perfect dessert for a cold day that is truly decadent and indulgent like a shake.

This how-to is mostly focused on food and small product photography backdrops and floordrops, but that doesn’t mean these can’t be scaled up for larger photography. This is probably one of my absolute favorite photography hacks because it is easy, cheap, and makes my food photos look pro.
I put together this artsy video with some of the adventures Derek and I have been up to recently. I was gifted a GoPro for my birthday and decided to break it in, hope you enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds (Derek wrote and played the song)! It’s my first video, so show it some love.
